Spring 2019 CAMVETS
A non-profit event where engineers and designers come together to create a product for a wounded veteran.
In April 2019 I volunteered for Challenge America in their Makers for Veterans program. I participated on Team James.
Our task was to assist James in lifting the 409 pound Husafell stone. James is a Strongman competitor and lost the use of his right arm.
Our team consisted of me, an orthotist, physical therapist, rehab doctor, and industrial sewing expert. Together we created a load lifting strap to easily carry the stone.
